The Fabricant Raises $14M For Digital-Only Couture

The Fabricant has been creating digital-only couture since 2016 and became noticed by the NFT fashion world in 2021 once launching The Fabricant Studio. The company’s ultimate mission is to build a decentralized fashion house that will dress the population of the metaverse. In addition to this, the company wants to create a more sustainable fashion industry. The Fabricant Studio allows anyone to create, trade, and wear digital-only garments.

The digital fashion house has guided the fashion industry towards a future of digital-only clothing. The Fabricant operates at the intersection of fashion, gaming, and blockchain. It creates its own digital-only couture collections and collaborates with brands to bring them into the 3D space.

The Fabricant was worked with brand like Under Armour, Off-White, Vogue Singapore, Puma, Napapijri, Peak Performance, and Adidas, amongst others, to demonstrate the vast creative possibilities within the digital fashion environment.

The Metaverse fashion house has raised over $14 million in a funding round. The news comes as the company continues to break boundaries in the space and partner with high-profile metaverse companies.

The Fabricant has already announced a collaboration with World of Women and The Sandbox.

This funding round was led by Greenfield One. Significantly, it included some big names, including Ashton Kutcher, Guy Oseary’s Sound Ventures, Red DAO, and others.

The funding will support and expand its primary target as a metaverse fashion house, which is to create the “wardrobe of the metaverse.” The development and creation of their NFT platform, The Fabricant Studio, is part of that.

The “Wardrobe Of The Metaverse”

When asked about The Fabricant, Jascha Samadi, stated:

“Within virtual environments, we will likely have multiple digital reflections of our physical self. The Fabricant Studio allows any creator to become their own fashion designer in the metaverse — paired with Web3 technology, digital fashion becomes unique, tradeable and accessible to the masses.”

The Fabricant Studio is a place to create, trade, and wear digital fashion NFTs. Significantly, they are launching Season 2 of their clothing range next week, on the 15th of April. Stephy Fung’s Zodiac Wardrobe collection will be huge for NFT fashion.
